An empirical evaluation of tech interventions to improve financial decision-making

Purpose This paper aims to empirically compare the degree which two technological interventions, based on computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL) and technology acceptance model (TAM), were associated with a different incidence of financial biases. Design/methodology/approach The study adopted quasi-experimental research design. authors randomly assigned participants (N = 507) one training conditions or control group, in turn, we assessed biases after interventions. Findings Participants who took part TAM-based group reported lower than those CSCL-based group. Research limitations/implications Literature suggests that educational approaches, i.e. CSCL TAM, can implement individuals’ decision-making.
